Doctoral Consortium
ACI2021 call for Doctoral Consortium Applications
As a discipline, ACI is still developing and doing a doctoral degree in ACI is likely to present students with challenges that are specifically related to the novelty of their chosen topics; it is also likely that some of these challenges will be shared. To provide students with additional support towards completing their degree, we are holding a doctoral consortium. During this session students will be able to briefly present their work to peers and researchers, and discuss specific challenges they might have encountered during their studies.
Submissions should include the following:
-
a proposal up to 6 pages (plus references) detailing their research topic, problem and questions, envisaged methods, current status and any issues that they have encountered and wish to discuss at the Doctorial Consortium.
-
a 2-page CV.
-
a short cover letter summarising: a) the topic; b) the name and email of the advisor(s); c) stage at in research; d) questions to get help from the community on.
The above should be submitted as a *single* PDF file using the new ACM Template.
Applications to the Doctoral Consortium will be juried and selected based on clarity of topic presentation and relevance of issues raised.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the ACI2021 Conference Proceedings, provided that the author registers for the conference and attends the Doctoral Consortium session.
